An address container is an object (e.g., a file) that contains information about a peer,
such as:
  • the name of the peer
  • the certificate of the peer, usable to verify its identity on connection
  • a list of common socket addresses (IP and port) where the peer can be usually contacted
  • a list of directory servers supporting this peer with con- nections when he is not at one of the common socket ad- dresses
